My Approach to Helping
\"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?\" - Mary Oliver
I work with my clients to resolve whatever is getting in their way. My approach is generally mindfulness based, informed by attachment and family histories. It focuses on widening and deepening resilience and core strengths that are already there (even if it doesn\'t feel like it). Then you can meet life\'s inevitable challenges without getting knocked off your game. You can also make peace with your past and discover valuable resources that have been waiting for you all along.
There\'s only one of you on the planet. Let\'s figure out why you\'re here and what your best life looks like.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I hold two trauma certifications; one in TRM (Trauma Resiliency Model) and one in EMDR (Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing) - both protocols integrate mind and body and can often provide relief from longstanding trauma based roadblocks and behaviors in a relatively short time without re-traumatizing the client.
Trauma work of this type can be incredibly helpful in the arenas of dealing with past abuse, chronic hypervigilance, abandonmentattachment issues and crippling shame and guilt.
I also specialize in assisting those who are part of the adoption constellation (Adoptees, Birthparents, Adoptive Parents). As an adoptive parent myself I bring additional insight to the attachment and abandonment issues that can arise and the profound experience of adoption for everyone who is touched by it.
Lastly my past careers in both theatre and film inform my work with creative professionals. The intersection of art and commerce offers many challenges as well as rewards. I can help in navigating both.
