My Approach to Helping
I believe that most people coming to therapy are looking for similar things: to have someone truly listen, validate their experience, acknowledge what they've been through and what they're facing now, and give them some helpful suggestions on how to get to the other side of their challenge. My goal is to meet people where they are emotionally, provide a supportive, nonjudgmental atmosphere, and help people navigate their way through painful experiences.
I think that growth and healing take place faster when a person has someone they trust to walk alongside them rather than having to walk the path alone. And, that's exactly what I am here to do. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, and customize my treatment based on the specific needs of each person coming in. I deeply believe in collaborating with each client to help determine the type of approach that will help facilitate change and create a sense of empowerment in one's circumstances.
