My Approach to Helping
People have different motivations for starting psychotherapy. Some people may be seeking to learn more about themselves while others would like to become more effective in achieving their life goals. You may be going through a life transition or seeking assistance in managing uncomfortable symptoms related to anxiety, depression, stress-overload, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress, addiction, or problems in interpersonal relationships. Because each person has different issues and goals for therapy, therapy will be different for each person. There is no one-size-fits-all approach which is why I tailor my psychotherapy approach to meet the needs of the individual, not the situation.

My Role as a Therapist
As your therapist, one of the most important jobs I have is to create a therapeutic environment that facilitates positive change and growth, for you. An essential part of creating that environment includes establishing a relationship built on trust, respect, acceptance, empathy and collaboration. I believe you will experience me as non-judgmental, genuinely engaged and authentic. Understanding your experience and perspective is always my first priority.
