Los Gatos is a town in Santa Clara County, California. It covers 11 square miles. Los Gatos is one of the oldest communities in the county. The town was originally named La Rinconada de Los Gatos, which translates to “Cat’s Corner.” The name came from the mountain lions living in the area.
Los Gatos has 30,500 inhabitants. The racial composition of the Los Gatos population is 74% white, 15% Asian, 6% Hispanic, and 1% black. Roughly 66% of residents over age 25 have a bachelor’s degree.
