Slow Down, Tune In: Mindfulness Strategies for Modern Therapy

Presented by Andrea Brognano, LMHC, LPC, NCC on 04-17-2025 at 9 a.m. Pacific (noon Eastern) to 11 a.m. Pacific (2 p.m. Eastern)

This intensive continuing education course equips licensed therapists with practical, evidence-based mindfulness techniques specifically designed for contemporary clinical practice. Participants will explore comprehensive strategies to integrate mindfulness approaches that help clients navigate stress, anxiety, and overwhelm in our fast-paced digital world. This 2-hour webinar will provide hands-on training in mindfulness interventions, focusing on adaptable techniques that can be seamlessly incorporated into various therapeutic modalities. Therapists will learn how to effectively teach mindfulness skills that are accessible, engaging, and transformative for clients across different demographics and psychological backgrounds.

This introductory continuing education webinar is designed to help mental health professionals:

  1. Develop advanced mindfulness intervention techniques adaptable to diverse client needs.
  2. Analyze the neurological and psychological mechanisms underlying mindfulness practices.
  3. Create personalized mindfulness strategies that address contemporary stressors and mental health challenges.

Statement of program material's accuracy, utility, and risks: This course offers evidence-based, practical mindfulness approaches with demonstrated clinical effectiveness. While the techniques provide powerful therapeutic tools, participants should recognize that individual client responses to mindfulness practices may vary. The primary potential risk involves potential client emotional activation during mindfulness exercises, balanced by the significant mental health benefits of well-implemented mindfulness strategies.

Declaration identifying any potential conflict of interest and/or commercial support: No conflict of interest indicated.
