My Approach to Helping
Are you feeling overwhelmed and it seems like everyone has advice to give but you don't think they truly understand what you are saying or the extent of what you are experiencing? Do you feel unheard and misunderstood?
When life's challenges feel overwhelming and nobody seems to understand, it's important to know you are seen, you are heard, and you are not alone. I provide you with a safe, nonjudgmental, and comforting space where understanding and guidance await. With a unique approach using a neurodivergent and identity-affirming focus to treatment, your journey toward a more balanced and fulfilled life of self-acceptance begins here.
In working with me, I want to provide you with a safe, nonjudgmental environment; one, in which, you feel like somebody finally "gets it." I believe in working with you as a teammate (yes, I love sports); we are in this together. I cannot do the work for you; I can be in there with you providing encouragement, tips and strategies, insight, and other perspectives.
My biggest area of strength is working with individuals who are Neurodivergent and undiagnosed or diagnosed later in life. My passion is to help you reclaim your identity free from the negative messages and biases that were imposed upon us throughout our life from others who are unaware of andor uneducated about the unique characteristics people who are neurodivergent possess. I not only engage in specialized training with the most current evidenced-based approaches, but I have almost 27 years of experience, as a mother raising three children with ADHD and one who also has Autism.
I was also diagnosed later in life with ADHD; at age 36 my practicum and internship supervisor provided me with the name, number, and phone to call a specialist who would evaluate me for ADHD. Once I received my diagnosis and started education myself, a whole new perspective opened up. I wasn’t “lazy”, “unmotivated, or “not applying myself.”
I tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I have been described as caring, helpful, and compassionate with a good sense of humor who isn’t afraid to occasionally “tell it like it is.” I look forward to working alongside you in your journey to be the best version of you!

How It Started
Prebble Counseling Services LLC was founded in 2023 from a deep passion for providing a client-centered approach to wellness. Recognizing the need for a space where care and compassion meet, I established this practice to support individuals on their journey to mental and emotional well-being along with balancing the needs of my family as a Mom and Gigi.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
Unfortunately, we often don?t find our best fit the first time around. Also, the unique challenges we experience with having undiagnosed ADHD, Autism, etc. are often not understood by therapists who do not specialize in ADHD, Autism, TwiceThrice Exceptional, and other Neurodivergent populations.
I have a unique ability to connect with individuals who have struggled to connect with therapists in the past. I do not sit and analyze nor judge; I also do not give advice.
I meet with you as one person empathizing with another person. We brainstorm and cultivate ideas and suggestions and you choose what you think the best option is. Don?t get me wrong, I will ?call it like it is? from time to time, just like others who know you well would.
Clients have provided the following feedback in working with me:
?A professional disguised as the best friend you always wanted.?
?Chris is an excellent therapist who gets me, my sense of humor and understands my thoughts process. She has been compassionate, relatable and so helpful in working with me to manage my stress triggers.?
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
I know it's a difficult decision and the stigmas that continue to surround mental health, though improving, do not make the choice any easier.
Give it a try!!
First, make sure you do your research; check the background, certifications, reviews. etc. of any provider you are thinking about working with.
If you try it and you find it's not working for you and you'd rather continue figuring things out on your own, you have the right to terminate treatment at any time!! You are an active participant in your treatment, your voice matters, and you have the final say in any decisions made about your care...unless a court order says otherwise.
Why I Care Deeply--
I recognize that every individual's journey matters. Your story, your challenges, and your triumphs are at the heart of what I do. I am committed to providing compassionate support that empowers you to thrive.
