My Approach to Helping
I work with adults with diverse backgrounds and identities, presenting with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders and addiction, sleep and behavior problems. I aim to provide treatment that is both based in science and individually tailored to you, creating a containing, judgement-free, and supportive therapy space. I work with individuals who want to look inward, explore what is important to them, and learn tools to overcome anxiety, pain, addiction, and trauma, and strive to build a therapeutic alliance based on trust, authenticity, warmth, and ease.
I have training in evidence-based treatments such as CBT, ACT, and DBT as well as specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD. I work with adults from diverse backgrounds dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, insomnia, behavioral, emotional, and interpersonal problems.
Healing happens through connection and by improving communication and ways of coping, we can begin living more fulfilling and connected lives. Through trust and a strong alliance, I empower my clients to engage with helpful coping skills, improve their relationships, and increase self awarenesscompassion to overcome challenges and find peace.
