My Approach to Helping

I'm passionate about working with adults that are driven to see change in their mood, feelings, relationships, or habits using TEAM-CBT. I offer short-term, focused work to quickly and efficiently help you meet your goals for symptom reduction and personal change. I'm most effective in addressing topics of anxiety, depression, transitions, habit change, procrastination, work-life imbalance, adjustment to parenthood, panic, OCD, and interpersonal conflict.

More Info About My Practice

Anxiety, depression, panic symptoms, OCD, relationship issues, and communication challenges are all areas where I can be most effective working with my patients.

I regularly work with First Responders and their family members, university and post-grad students, and those looking to use their EAP benefits.

My Therapy Focus

I use TEAM-CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) with my clients who are struggling with symptoms related to depression, anxiety, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), and other issues.

TEAM-CBT, created by psychiatrist Dr. David Burns, is an evidenced-based approach with empathy as the starting point. It uses various techniques, including CBT and ERP, to achieve therapeutic success using a collaborative approach between therapist and patient. The steps include: Testing, Empathy, Agenda settingAcceptance, and Methods

ERP is a method I use collaboratively with clients to free them from any harmful patterns of worrisome thoughts and behaviors through a series of systematic exposures that take place inside and our sessions.
