My Approach to Helping
I have been at the receiving end of therapy a few times, and I know it can be hard. It takes courage and dedication to acknowledge there is a problem that needs fixing. One of the most challenging things for both clients and therapists is when it seems like therapy isn't producing results. I firmly believe you are the expert on your life, and I value your insights. I aim to collaborate with you to ensure your satisfaction and equip you with the right tools to successfully navigate through future challenges.
More Info About My Practice
I firmly believe in equality and justice for all, regardless of race, nationality, or religion. I am passionate about bridging gaps in access to mental health for minorities, especially immigrant and refugee women. Most refugees and immigrants are not aware of mental health services that are offered, and those who are aware are still unable to utilize these services due to factors like language barriers, ease of access, monetary concerns, legal status, and so on.
My aim is to highlight these and other barriers that exist for immigrants and refugees, and collaborate with different organizations in developing plans and strategies to eradicate these factors. By strengthening this often overlooked population group, I believe we will create opportunities for untapped potential to thrive. I hope incorporating more mentally healthy individuals into our society will strengthen our interconnectedness and increase our overall peace and harmony.
