My Approach to Helping
I came to know social work as a professional career path through my passion for helping people. After completing my undergraduate degree in youth ministry, I discovered the Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate program at Howard University, where I first learned about the vast intricacies of mental health and treatment for it. I passed the graduate-level and later the clinical-level board exams, both of which enabled me to serve clients at higher levels over the past 11 years. I prioritize making therapy work for clients in all settings by using person-centered and collaborative engagement, which creates a supportive environment with steps consistently promoted to achieve agreed-upon goals.
