My Approach to Helping

We can work together to make improvements, strengthen resilience, and achieve your goals.

I focus on developing a respectful relationship and strive to create a positive environment in which you feel comfortable asking questions and sharing stories. Further, I believe in setting achievable goals to help individuals grow professionally and personally. Most importantly, I encourage an open dialogue to discuss your goals and challenges, and I will adjust my approach to best support you. I am sensitive to the needs of each individual.

I left my comfort zone and embraced challenges when relocating to the United States. Not surprisingly, immigrants experience insecurity, uncertainty, and loneliness, which increases stress and can easily affect a person's well-being. This experience led me to study clinical mental health counseling at Lesley University and then complete my advanced nursing education at Simmons University. After years of training in the medical field, I am confident and competent to further my counseling journey.

More Info About My Practice

It is strongly believed change is possible and doable under different circumstances; the earlier, the better. I value the spirit of planting the seed and being actively involved in the community. I have volunteered in a multicultural community center, where I gained a deeper understanding of various cultures and built relationships with people from all walks of life. I am also a member of the Massachusetts Act Early Steering Committee and help promote the importance of early intervention and advocate for Mandarin-speaking populations. In addition, I host workshops with Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, a non-profit organization in Massachusetts, focusing on children’s health, both physical and mental.

I initiated a free health screening event during an annual cultural festival in a local community in Massachusetts, which provides consultation for oral health, nutrition, mental health, and vital signs check-ups to promote health equity.
