My Approach to Helping

The therapists at our clinic are here to listen with a non-judgmental mind, helping you sort out the chaos, your personal patterns, and help you work towards creating a better world for you and those around you. Our philosophies and approaches focus on understanding you as a unique individual and providing support tailored to your needs. We are here to hear you, experience the things you experience, and be with you through the difficult times. We are good at catching patterns and helping others see multiple perspectives in ways that may differ from what they originally thought. Our focus is to help you acknowledge and accept your humanness. We all make mistakes, have difficult times in our lives, and need a little extra help during those difficult times. We offer traditional talk therapy, art therapy, and other creative therapies to suit your needs. You are still strong and valuable even if you ask for help, and we want to be that help.

More Info About My Practice

Embrace Change Therapy is a small mental health private practice where there are therapists supporting each other to maintain focus on how to best help their clients. Alison Maples started Embrace Change Therapy in 2019 wanting to be able to provide counseling, art therapy, and career counseling to professionals that want or need the extra help.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

We are all human, and humans are not perfect. We cannot be expected to know and do everything ourselves, that is why we live in groups in a society. At this point in your life, help is sought after in a variety of ways. You may have needed a plumber yesterday, or someone to look at your car last week. Why not have someone help you with life being difficult?
We are the experts in therapy and you are the expert in your life; so let's meet and discuss your specific situation and we can work on creating new ways to help get you through the difficult times. Maybe something seems like a minor problem to others that gets dismissed easily, but it is something that bothers you that you would like to work though. We want to help you get through your difficult time, whatever that might be.
