My Approach to Helping
My Approach to Helping
Life can be messy, unpredictable, and downright overwhelming at times. I get it—not just because I'm a therapist, but because I've been through my own challenges, too. These experiences inspire me and make me incredibly passionate about helping others navigate their own journeys. I’m here to walk alongside you, providing a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and work through the challenges you are facing.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, and trauma, new moms and parents adjusting to the complexities of parenthood, teens facing the unique pressures of growing up today, and teen parents who are learning to balance their own development with the responsibilities of parenthood. My goal is to provide a space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and supported, no matter where you are on your journey.
For Individuals and Trauma Survivors:
If you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, or the aftermath of trauma, it can feel like there’s no clear path forward. I believe in a collaborative approach, using a mix of evidence-based methods and a lot of empathy to help you navigate your journey. Together, we’ll work on building resilience, understanding your emotions, and finding practical tools that fit your unique needs.
For New Moms, Dads, and Parents:
Parenthood is a wild ride—full of highs, lows, and everything in between. I’m here to support you through it all. Whether you're experiencing postpartum challenges, adjusting to a new identity as a parent, or just trying to find some balance, my focus is on helping you reconnect with yourself and find strength in your new role.
For Teens and Teen Parents:
Growing up today is tough. There’s a lot of pressure to fit in, succeed, and figure out who you are. This becomes even more complex for teen parents, who are navigating both their own adolescence and the responsibilities of raising a child. I’ve worked with teens and teen parents for years, providing a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can explore their identity, build self-esteem, develop healthy coping skills, and learn how to balance their personal growth with parenthood. While I’m focusing more on supporting parents and individuals, I still love working with teens and teen parents who need someone to listen without judgment.
In my practice, I bring warmth, a bit of humor, and a lot of real talk. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about being willing to show up, be vulnerable, and work through the messiness of life together. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
