My Approach to Helping
Taking the leap to seek additional guidance and support takes courage and vulnerability and I believe it cultivates our growth and well-being. Together we collaborate to examine thoughts, emotions and behaviors and identify new tools and solutions that will move you toward a place of worthiness, purpose and authenticity to meet your personalized goals.
My approach to counseling involves providing a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where expression can take place and awareness and growth can be explored through understanding and non-judgmental interactions. I also use humor as well as gently challenge clients to try new things to create meaningful change. With over 14 years of experience, I specialize in treating adults who have concerns regarding anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, trauma, perfectionism, self-esteem, and women's issues. I work with you to change your relationship to unhelpful thoughts and improve present moment awareness. I help you get unhooked from painful and distressing thoughts and emotions and move you toward behavioral changes that are consistent with your personal values.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
While many people tend to seek out psychotherapy when they are dealing with a crisis or a stressful life event, it does not have to be the only reason to seek counseling. There are many benefits to psychotherapy. Let me just share just some of the many benefits you can receive from psychotherapy. It can be a space that is just for YOU. No unsolicited opinions or advice from family or friends and no one else you have to take care of either. JUST YOU. It a space where you can receive emotional support and validation. A space where you can strengthen your self-confidence and self-worth. You can improve your relationships by improving communication, learning to express yourself effectively and set healthy boundaries. You can also learn new tools and strategies to address difficult situations and create new behavioral patterns that are in alignment with who you want to be. It is a space to find and cultivate a sense of purpose and direction in your life. These are just some of the many benefits of psychotherapy. I am looking forward to hearing from you on what you hope to gain from it!
