My Approach to Helping

The importance of a collaborative relationship in therapy cannot be overstated. I believe it is the most important vehicle for change. As a clinical psychologist, I attempt to provide a warm, caring, & accepting atmosphere that will encourage clients to move towards their goals & improve their lives. I integrate acceptance-based cognitive behavioral therapy with an interpersonal approach. I work with clients to increase emotional awareness & self-compassion. I help clients identify their unique strengths in order to develop healthy coping skills. I use mindfulness & relaxed breathing techniques to help clients manage difficult emotions. I specialize in working with adults 18 & older, particularly those who have survived a sexual, physical, andor emotional trauma. I also enjoy working with individuals who are struggling with women's issues, anxiety, grief & loss, body image issues, & difficult relationships. My professionalism, authenticity, & sense of humor set me apart as a clinician. I
