Amanda Spanbauer is a National Certified Counselor whose life and career have been shaped by one guiding question: What makes healing possible? Her work is grounded in the belief that every person holds an innate ability to heal, grow, and thrive. Known for her warmth, calm presence, and compassion, Amanda creates a deeply supportive and nourishing environment for her clients.
Amanda earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Studio Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder. She incorporates a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, including Compassion Focused Therapy, Existential Psychology, Contemplative Psychologies, and Person-Centered Therapy, tailoring her methods to meet each client’s unique needs.
With over 20 years of experience in the Healing Arts, Amanda’s holistic and integrated perspective informs her approach to therapy. Her journey into counseling was inspired by her deep understanding of the transformative power of emotions and thoughts in the healing process. A lifelong artist, Amanda often weaves creativity into her practice, using art as a tool for self-expression and discovery.
