My Approach to Helping
My clients describe me as relational and direct. I’m known equally for joining my clients in humor and holding grounded space for deep sorrow. In our first session, we'll use an integrative approach to discuss what brought you to therapy and identify how to address your concerns. We may use more skill-based techniques during our sessions, such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) or the Gottman Method. We may also lean on the dynamic we build together through attachment-based and relational therapy to support your goals.
More Info About My Practice
My personal values orbit around my core belief that we all have universal needs for compassion, care, and empathy. Our universal needs can be met when we see, understand, and value our shared humanity. My living experience as a queer person informs every aspect of my therapeutic work, strengthening my deep understanding of the importance of individuality as well as community and belonging. I believe that our interconnectedness is what propels us forward, and that each commitment to self-improvement is also a commitment to the people around us.
