My Approach to Helping
We all need a safe place to be "messy", where you can talk about things that may feel hard to discuss in everyday life. As your therapist, I strive to provide this space by focusing first and foremost on building a genuine trust between us. Whether you are struggling with relationship challenges, career issues, adjusting to a big change, or just feeling lost, I can help you make sense of things and find a clear path forward. At the same time, our therapy sessions will focus on easing symptoms of anxiety, stress, or emotional turbulence so that you can feel good about how you are showing up in your life.
Together, we will discuss your challenges, come up with a plan, and work on skills to help you cope with life’s ups and downs. We’ll do this by exploring your personal history and your current issues, over time gaining deeper self-understanding. Along the way, I use curiosity, humor, and "gentle directness" to guide our conversations.
