My Approach to Helping
My goal and passion as a therapist is to help you maximize your potential to lead a full and satisfying life. Often, barriers get in the way of this, and it can be easy to get stuck on what to do next. Going through a major life change can often create or reinforce these barriers, causing difficulty in relationships, impairment in emotional health, and loss of identity.
In our work together, I will provide you with a safe, non-judgmental, and respectful environment, allowing you to delve into the source and patterns of your difficulties. With this new understanding of who you are, we will collaboratively work on developing new strategies, coping skills and adaptive behaviors that will enable you to live the life you want to live.
My Role as a Therapist
Everyone has the potential, and deserves, to live a fulfilling life. I believe that I can help you identify and move past the barriers that stand in your way to leading this life. My approach to the therapeutic relationship is to be non-judgmental, person-centered, collaborative and goal focused and to facilitate your journey.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Problems can become overwhelming, especially when you are experiencing a significant life change. Reaching out for help can be such a difficult thing to do, but is a courageous and thoughtful step toward acknowledging your needs. Having an objective person to talk to and a safe space to talk in will give you a different and honest perspective. In our work together, we will identify your strengths and how these have helped you in the past, as well as the things that have gotten in your way. Together, we will develop and practice new strategies.
