My Approach to Helping
Struggling with conflict avoidance in important relationships or feeling misunderstood? Looking to unpack and heal from SA or childhood trauma? I enjoy working with motivated emerging adults & adults who are looking for a warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental space for healing. I'm passionate about providing a safe space for people to: investigate what may be holding them back from experiencing a better quality of life, identify and personalize effective coping skills & routines, and practice self-compassion throughout the process.
Feeling misunderstood or judged can hold us back from true healing. As a trauma-informed clinician, I understand the importance of validation and acceptance in allowing us to fully engage in the healing process. My approach is eclectic and individualized, drawing from experience using CBT, DBT, ACT, somatic therapy, NMT, and IPT.
