My Approach to Helping
Hello there, I am Amy Rhoades, LCSW.
Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed and unsure how to find new coping strategies? Are you struggling with being kind to yourself? Have you experienced trauma throughout your life, a one time event, or even through childhood and need support in managing the symptoms of the trauma or other life events? Do you struggle with grief and loss, and feel getting out of grief is never ending? Or substance use?
I am here to help you find your inner strengths and resiliency. I work with those with PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, just to name a few. I utilize client-centered therapy and pull from a tool box of strength based practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, traditional talk therapy, and many approaches to grief and loss.
If you are dealing with trauma, loss of a loved one or spouse or past relationships, and seeking support to manage all the upcoming feelings behind these issues, I am here to help.
I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to help process your feelings, and space to heal and grow. I utilize evidence-based techniques and I am here to help you grow. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
