My Approach to Helping
Andrea Bullard seeks to engage the body, mind, and heart, offering a supportive and judgment-free environment that encourages clients to embrace curiosity and presence within themselves. She understands that therapeutic work can feel both delicate and transformative and believes that stepping onto this path of change requires courage. Andrea considers it a true honor to accompany her clients on their healing journey, helping them uncover resources, find ease, and foster coherence in body, mind, and heart to meet life more fully.
Andrea holds a Master of Arts in Somatic Psychotherapy and Counseling with a specialization in Dance Movement Therapy from Naropa University, along with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Experimental Theater Arts from New York University. Her therapeutic approach incorporates body-based awareness and an array of techniques, including somatic and dance therapy, sensory integration, developmental movement, expressive arts therapy, and person-centered practices.
Driven by a passion for body-mind integration, Andrea has continued her post-graduate studies in early attachment and trauma, working through a body-centered lens that includes pre- and perinatal awareness. She is deeply curious about the implicit stories embedded in our beliefs and behaviors, exploring how they shape our experiences and relationships. Andrea has extensive experience supporting neurotypical adults and adults with developmental disabilities, helping clients build skills and access greater resources through somatic awareness and practice. Her approach is both gentle and grounded, inviting clients to explore their inner worlds and develop new tools for resilience and connection.
