My Approach to Helping
My therapeutic values underscore a collaborative, person-centered model grounded in empathy and positive regard.
As a trauma-informed clinician, my approach to therapy recognizes the presence of trauma in all of us and how it can impact our reactions to situations, interactions, relationships, self-identity, and life events. Regardless of whether we have experienced a big trauma or several little traumas, these types of emotional disturbances are highly distressing events that continue to affect us on an intimate level. Our innate ability to respond to people, circumstances, and relationships in the present and future is directly tied to our past experiences. Together we can examine what may be affecting your emotional response pattern and how to better improve your self-growth and healing.
I truly believe healing should be accessible to everyone and that the process of recovery is much simpler when you have someone to walk beside and explore new meanings with.
