My Approach to Helping
Sometimes life takes us on a path that leaves us with painful memories and these experiences can interfere with our sense of well-being. Processing these thoughts and feelings alone can feel overwhelming and challenging. I hope that with our work together, you can gain the support you need to process what in on your mind and shift painful patterns.
I believe that the mind is intricately connected to the body. My primary orientation incorporates a body focused psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing (SE) method. This approach can help you become more aware of how your past can have a profound impact on your nervous system. SE will be utilized to bring your awareness of the body's physical response to stress and promote a mindfulness practice to help you release tension that is weighing on your emotional and physical health.
