My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed professional counselor with over 30 years of experience in the mental healthcounseling field. My academic background includes a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Radford University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hampton University. My areas of clinical interest and specialties include: mind-body connection, culture and identity development, family dynamics, mood disorders, transgendernon-binary affirming healthcare access, life transitions, crisis intervention, trauma, and abuse. As a woman of faith and minister, I am inspired by the scripture: "I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well" (Psalm 139:14). In addition, I love this anonymous quote: "If you are more fortunate than others, build a longer table and not a taller fence."
