My Approach to Helping
Welcome, taking the first step in the journey of therapy takes strength and courage. Life is full of stress and bumps, which are often more than we can deal with on our own. I would be honored to work with you on your journey. In therapy, I offer guided support, acceptance, and compassion in a safe space. I use a strength based approach focusing on your innate strengths and existing supports to help you get unstuck, and heal. Together, we will create a plan to help reach your goals, increase insight and overcome challenges. We will explore your relationship with yourself, and your relationships with those around you. We will explore behavioral patterns that aren't working and how they affect your world. I help my clients learn healthy coping skills, develop new patterns for communicating, and relating to themselves and others. As a marriage and family therapist, I also work with individuals along with married and unmarried couples and families. My goal is for therapy to be an inviting, calm and safe place where we can work together to create positive changes in your life resulting in health, peace, and improved relationships.
