My Approach to Helping
Anna Olson values collaboration, curiosity, and compassion as the foundations of a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. By focusing on each client’s unique lived experiences and strengths, Anna creates a space where individuals can find their calm within life’s storms and move toward meaningful, positive change. Anna Olson is a Licensed Social Worker with a Master of Arts in Social Work from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Franklin and Marshall College. She integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches into her practice, including person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and internal family systems (IFS).
With over six years of experience in mental health, Anna’s dedication to this field began in high school when she served as a camp counselor, sparking her passion for supporting others. Since then, she has worked across the lifespan in diverse settings, including hospitals, community clinics, and private practice. She has extensive experience supporting teenagers and young adults through the unique challenges of their life stages. Anna’s expertise also includes neuropsychological evaluations, and she is passionate about understanding how neurochemistry influences emotional states and behaviors. In addition to her clinical work, Anna has contributed to pediatric neuropsychiatry and immunology research at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she integrated research into improving mental health care systems.
Outside of her professional work, Anna enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and cherishing moments with her friends and family. Since moving from Boston, Massachusetts, to Fort Collins, Colorado, she has embraced exploring the beautiful Colorado terrain.
