For couples therapy that works, choose a Couples Therapist!

Is this what's happening in your relationship? Repetitive shaming, blaming and arguing, infidelity, mistrust, feeling like roommates? Often one person feels unsupported and unimportant and “pursues” the other for communication and connection, while the other feels like they’re never enough, can’t please their partner, and usually withdraws and shuts down. This turns into an unending cycle that is difficult to get out of.

Powerful and effective couples modalities. Lasting change is possible for your relationship! am trained in emotionally focused therapy (EFT) the only empirically validated model for couples therapy. I am also trained in powerful couples modalities such as the psychobiological approach to couples therapy (PACT) and non-violent communication (NVC). (See video clips about these modalities on my website). I am also trained in the neuro-affective relational model (NARM), which is designed to treat developmental trauma and I see my clients through the lens of their somatic experience and attachment style to support our work.

Couples therapy that works! Break this painful cycle you're in and take your relationship to the next level Go from rejected to connected! Create a safe haven and secure bond, establish solid skills and tools, and develop trust, closeness, safety, and intimacy. Get your fundamental needs for being seen, heard, and understood met, develop a "we" not just "me" mindset, and become a real team that is #1 for each other.

Learn an entire couples curriculum. I teach you an entire couples course as we do therapy. Learn about trauma, attachment, communication, expressing feelings and needs, reflective listening, sharing from your vulnerability, authenticity, transparency (VAT), making requests, self-awareness, accountability, neuroscience, the brain, the importance of the nervous system and emotional regulation, and more!

More Info About My Practice

More about me: I am multi-faceted - a world-traveled, highly educated, heart-centered, progressively minded woman. I believe in supporting the well-being of all beings on the planet, humans, animals, plants, our soil, air, water, and all the ecosystems they are part of. I celebrate diversity in all its forms, race, sex, color, religion, age, gender, and sexual identity. I am a singer, and songwriter and believe that self-expression through creativity is a significant way to heal and transform. Turn your suffering into art! I also practice a generous amount of self-care with exercise, yoga, rest, healthy organic eating, nurturing relationships with friends, community, and family, and I meditate on a regular basis.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

What you should look for in a relationship therapist? Someone safe, kind, sensitive & compassionate, with a true understanding of what you?re going through & how difficult it is - highly educated & knowledgeable about how to shift your relationship from pain & hardship to harmony & ease and has a full spectrum of skills & tools to do this effectively.

What should my relationship therapist know? They should have a deep understanding of attachment needs & styles, trauma, the brain & nervous system in relationships, childhood issues, relationship modalities such as EFT, PACT & NVC, Non-Violent-Communication & utilize body-based awareness in their work.

I bring all of this education, personal & professional experience to my work with people in challenging relationships.
