My Approach to Helping
Drawing from attachment theory and narrative therapy, I help adults and couples navigate their life transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues that you may be experiencing today, as well as processing your past experiences, traumas, and relationships that have shaped how you view the world. I have a supportive, person-centered approach, and invite humor and authenticity into my therapeutic work. I can help you look internally to understand what doesn’t feel right, walk alongside you in processing overwhelming emotions, and relate on a very human level. If you’re hoping to create healthier connections with others or yourself, I am a great fit!
More Info About My Practice
With experience helping couples and individuals work through a variety of life challenges, I can help you find increased connection, greater confidence, relief from distressing symptoms, and greater emotional well-being. Together, we'll process the experiences, traumas, and relationships that have shaped how you view the world and yourself, and how those are affecting both your experience today and your goals for your future. With 12 years of experience advising government and private sector executives before becoming a counselor, I bring not only a passion for mental health, but also a personal understanding of the weight of balancing multiple responsibilities with a high pressure career. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed and attachment-focused lens. In our work, I will apply techniques from Interpersonal Neurobiology, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you cultivate more secure attachment, greater emotional safety, and healthier relationships. I'll support you in exploring what doesn't feel right, walk alongside you in processing overwhelming emotions, and practice the skills you need for greater balance in your life. If you’re hoping to create healthier connections with others or yourself, please reach out. I so look forward to our work together.
