My Approach to Helping
My name is Araby Boykin, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). I am nationally certified by the NBCC as well as the NC licensing board and have been a practicing clinician since 2018. I am also a level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTPII). My background includes working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses in a community setting and providing tele-health therapy services.
I use an eclectic approach that supports personal growth, skill acquisition, and individualized goal setting.
My client focus is on adults who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health symptoms or want to improve areas of well-being. I also help couples develop better communication and conflict-resolution styles.
I am open, friendly and use curiosity to aid in the exploration of unique abilities, strengths, and resilience.
Goal setting is important and during a session, you can expect to discuss both long and short-term goals and progress.
Your first session will consist of a comprehensive clinical assessment in which a potential diagnosis will be formulated and discussed with you, as well as possible treatment plans.
