My Approach to Helping
During my thirty-plus years of experience in New York City and now in Arizona, I have worked with people dealing with a myriad of mental health, social, and relationship challenges. These include depression, anxiety, communication issues with their partners, parents, friends, children, and colleagues; feelings of social awkwardness, and difficulty getting on with their lives in a way that is meaningful to them. I work with adults 18 and over, and I work with people of very diverse backgrounds, whether it be ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, physical challenges, or neurodivergence. I think it is critical to listen as openly as possible, without presuming to know your needs right away. Rather, it is a process of getting to know you, how you communicate, how you think, what is important to you, and how to be of help to you.
