My Approach to Helping
Brainwashed by our pain-avoidant culture, our egos try to boss our minds, bodies and souls around. “Quit crying.” “Get over it already.” But society\'s push to hurry up and get over it is inadvertently creating a pain paradox; people are being forced to try to “heal” in the trappings of shameful isolation. But if we still ourselves and allow our deepest, truest inner voice to be heard over the ego’s tyrannical whispers, we will come to realize that human suffering is NORMAL and not something to get over. Pain, no matter how subtle or severe, is a form of energy that demands to be acknowledged, befriended and even accomodated.
I will listen to you, really listen. I will not minimize your feelings by putting them in a nice, tidy, prelabeled box. I propose we put together a unique plan of therapeutic techniques, tailored specifically to your needs to help you learn to fully embrace everything about yourself, your circumstances and use your pain as fuel for your journey to peace.
