My Approach to Helping
If you find yourself feeling "stuck" due to experiences in your past or uncertainty in your future, therapy can help you embrace the present and find authentic joy in your unique path. I am passionate about working with people who have experienced complex trauma, individuals who are neurodiverse, and queer folks. My approach is informed by my own life experience as a queer and neurodiverse person, my continuing education in a variety of therapeutic modalities, and my knowledge of human development.
I embrace a socially-mindful, intersectional perspective of therapy which acknowledges that people live their lives as part of larger systems and respects each individual as the expert of their own experience. I utilize strengths-based and trauma-informed therapeutic modalities. In sessions, my style has been described as direct, warm, and authentic. My goal as a therapist is to bear compassionate witness to your journey and help you discover your own unique skills and capacities to build a life that aligns with your personal goals and dreams.
