My Approach to Helping
I use an integrative approach to healing, which means that I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach. I use a trauma-focused lens to help clients understand where their behavior patterns stem from so that they can organically shift into better versions of themselves. Some of the modalities I use include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), polyvagal therapy, internal family systems, and acceptance and commitment theory. I use accelerated resolution therapy to help clients process traumatic events. With the use of bilateral eye movements, the client can process negative images and emotions associated with their traumatic experience. Clients also like this approach as they are not required to share details of the trauma with me, so it feels less invasive. I am also certified in the neuroaffective relational model, which helps clients deal with childhood developmental trauma. I have a good sense of humor and I'm easygoing, but I also enjoy offering my clients a different perspective. I know that sometimes life is just hard, but I believe that we all possess the inner strength needed to help us overcome our struggles. I love watching my clients grow and I feel privileged to be a part of their journey!
