My Approach to Helping

Blair’s approach focuses on the person, not the “problem,” leveraging a solution-focused, empathic and empowering approach with a focus on achieving sustainable sexual integrity.

Sessions can be scheduled directly online including same-day and evening options. Sessions are guided by a curated 14-item curriculum, and include homework to aid further development between sessions.

How to Schedule a Session: Appointments are available 6 days per week, including evening sessions. Simply schedule online to book your first session, an initial consult, an in-person intensive or join the Men’s Sexual Integrity Group.

More Info About My Practice

My practice is focused on helping men and their partners through some of the most difficult situations life can bring, focusing on compulsive sexual behavior and the often painful consequences it can bring. I offer weekend and evening sessions 7 days per week to ensure my clients are not burdened in their effort to receive help and guidance. I distill my knowledge to 14 focused sessions and provide homework and exercises in between sessions to help my clients achieve their maximum value and progress from our engagement.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I'm a sex and porn addiction specialist particularly focused on helping men to understand, and apply educational principles, such as the addiction cycle to themselves and then develop their sustainable path forward.

My Therapy Focus

You are not an addict. You are a human being who has discovered, or where shown, unhealthy ways to navigate the world when finding themselves dysregulated. The individual acting out needs to understand the underlying NEEDS that are coming up for them. Needs cannot be ignored, they must be understood and resolved. What was acting out solving? Relief, numbing, avoiding, escaping? From there one needs to find freedom from shame.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

We are all the product of our nature and nurture. Addiction is a disease. The nature components of our genetic makeup and the chemical construct of our brains shape us to be the individual that we are, both the positives and the negatives. The nurture side is comprised of the experiences that we have lived through, including trauma, as well as what was modeled for us by those that raised us and we were surrounded by in our upbringing. The key question as it relates to compulsive behavior is how does one choose to become aware of these factors and what is the best, sustainable way to derive a path forward. This is all possible, and exciting I might had, as one becomes engaged in their own process of self understanding, self care and self direction forward.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

The goal is self-expertise - knowing one's self, knowing why they got caught up in problematic behavioral patterns and how they can be confident in the future. The average engagement lasts 14 sessions. At that point, you'll have the skills, tools and awareness needed to continue progress on your own. Clients have the option to stay longer so long as their finding it beneficial.
