My Approach to Helping
Bonnie is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor who has a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Chadron State College.
Bonnie has worked with youth, women, and families in facilities and telehealth. Her focus initially was working with clients in need of substance abuse counseling, but recently, she has been working with adolescents and enjoys working with this population. She has experience working with adolescent clients who have experienced trauma, gender dysphoria, loss, and family separation.
Bonnie has also worked with populations who experience poverty and has dealt with related issues. She has ten years of experience working with clients who struggle with poverty. Bonnie uses strength-based and culturally sensitive supports while serving her clients. She often utilizes a solution-focused and family systems approach to help clients and families recognize their abilities as her clients learn to cope with trauma, grief, and stress.
In her free time, you can find Bonnie experimenting with complex recipes in the kitchen because she loves to cook. Bonnie also enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
