My Approach to Helping
Compassionate, non-judgmental and effective virtual psychotherapy conveniently provided to you wherever you are across the state of Georgia.
Hello! I'm a licensed psychologist who provides telehealth psychotherapy to adults, college/graduate school students, and couples across Georgia. I understand that therapy may be a new experience for you and strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental, and accepting environment. My goal is to help you to grow and change with compassionate yet challenging solution-based therapy. My clinical training and years of experience have prepared me to successfully treat issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, OCD, relationships, family-of-origin issues, assertiveness, boundaries, self-esteem, anger management, trauma, infidelity, relationship repair, communication, conflict resolution, emotional intimacy, and difficulty with transitions.
I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as elements of mindfulness in my therapy practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then over the initial sessions, we will collaborate to create a plan to address your concerns and goals in a way that meets your expectations and desired outcome. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and body are interconnected. Over the course of therapy, I'll help you learn coping skills to manage emotions and other skills to improve other areas of life. Most of my clients see gradual improvement within the first month and sustained improvement over time.
I earnestly believe that psychotherapy can benefit everyone during seasons of their lives, whether during times of great difficulty or times of valuable focus on personal growth. Clients often report that they enjoy my thoughtful, caring nature and my sense of humor. Please see my website (atlantachristianpsychologist. com) for further info on my practice. I look forward to hearing from you.
