My Approach to Helping

I’m Britta March (sheher).

I’m a licensed mental health counselor and certified personality disorder treatment provider who specializes in helping adults experiencing self-harm, dissociative symptoms, and recovering after psychiatric hospitalization.

During therapy sessions, I work to guide you toward meeting your most authentic, bad-ass self while teaching you some helpful skills along the way.

I also believe the most effective factors for therapy to be a successful experience are the relationship you have with your therapist and the dedication you have to making changes outside of our scheduled sessions.

Therapy modalities I work from include:

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Gestalt theory

Feminist theory

When appropriate, I also utilize techniques guided by music therapy, art therapy, and trauma-informed yoga practices.
