My Approach to Helping
My intention as a therapist is to create a safe, warm, and confidential space where genuine healing is cultivated. Inner Canvas operates through a client-centered lens that embraces non-judgment and compassion, holding space for authentic growth and transformation to occur. I accept and welcome everyone where they're at in their journey, with an open mind and heart. I hold the belief that everything we need to navigate the peaks and valleys of our lives already lies within. It is my honour to journey alongside and empower you as you re-discover your inner strengths and resiliency.
My approach is eclectic in nature, rooted in trauma and attachment informed frameworks. I aim to provide holistic care that honours the mind-body connection. I work with a variety of modalities, some of which include: Art Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Techniques, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I specialize in grief and bereavement work, with a focus on supporting individuals navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. I believe that the therapeutic relationship offers a unique opportunity to encourage deeper self expansion and understanding, while empowering clients to grow toward intentions that are important to them.
