My Approach to Helping

Your treatment will be tailored specifically to your personality, goals, strengths, and preferences. I will provide actionable steps and strategies to overcome challenges and flourish in life and relationships.

I offer inclusive, culturally aware, and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy. I create an atmosphere where clients can show up fully as themselves, honoring your story and the strengths that have gotten you this far. We'll explore how societal expectations can impact your struggles, particularly around people-pleasing, perfectionism, and body image.

I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Level 1 and 2, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which I utilize to help client’s build more fulfilling relationships and become more emotionally regulated. I typically meet with clients on a weekly basis and can possibly move to bi-weekly sessions if appropriate. I am happy to discuss a sliding scale rate if you are currently experiencing financial hardship.

More Info About My Practice

At Angel City Therapy, we are dedicated to serving a diverse population of clients, helping with the most vulnerable and intimate topics. Topics include sex, sexual identity, relationship issues, infidelity, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, suicidal ideation, and more. Our staff is trained in many modalities and techniques and strives to tailor our approach to fit our client's strengths, needs, and goals.

Our team is united by a commitment to inclusivity. We are body-positive, sex-positive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. We understand and welcome individuals practicing polyamory and consensual non-monogamy, and our therapists are knowledgeable about these relationship dynamics. We also embrace kink and are informed about its diverse expressions.

We are particularly dedicated to working with BIPOC individuals by striving to be multiculturally competent and serve individuals within their own cultural context. We understand that culture plays a vital role in shaping our experiences. We believe that healing happens best when you feel truly seen and understood.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I became a therapist out of my deeply rooted belief that we are never meant to navigate the challenges of life alone. If you feel ready to get support during this difficult season, so you can start having more hope and control over your life, then I welcome you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me. In this consultation call I can answer your questions and we can see if we are a good fit to work together.
