My Approach to Helping

Are you feeling stuck? Feeling trapped in a spiral of anxious or depressive thoughts? Trapped in negative thinking? Do you get angry easily? Feel sad or hopeless? Is your tween or teen struggling with focus, impulsivity, or other behavioral issues? Does lack of motivation, difficultly with decision making, or other challenges get in the way of setting or accomplishing personal goals? My motto is: Think right, feel right. If your thinking is not right, you won't feel right. Let's work together to help you feel better. I provide mental health therapy to teens, adults, families, and couples equipping them with tools to overcome life’s challenges.

Using a personalized approach, we might use person-centered therapy to talk through problems, cognitive behavioral therapy to help change negative thought patterns, or solution-focused therapy to help you find solutions that work. Sessions often incorporate mindfulness, games, activities, art and other techniques, especially when working with adolescents. I provide faith-based services, but if religion is not your thing we won't approach therapy in this manner.

Through counseling sessions, you will learn skills and strategies to overcome life's challenges. Please contact me to schedule an appointment, if I don't answer, please leave your name so I can contact you back quickly. We'll discuss your concerns, symptoms, struggles, and goals. I will let you know how I can help, and we will discuss a plan to get started.
