My Approach to Helping
I know that each individual that begins therapy with me must have immense courage to make the 1st steps towards positive change. As long as we never give up, we can achieve the impossible. My goal is to discover my client's strengths and encourage them to polish and hone that strength to overcome any obstacle. We are the true experts of our lives and only we can define our version of happiness.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have experience working with children and families of physical and sexual abuse. Through my time working with children, I've developed skills in trauma focused CBT, play therapy, sand tray therapy, and animal assisted therapy. I'm incredibly passionate about my work with children and adolescents. I am an advocate for children and will help guide them towards the success they're capable of achieving. I also enjoy working with couples and families and have received training abroad in couples and sex therapy. I've also had the opportunity to study at the Brief Institute and gained extensive training in solution focused and narrative therapy.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Every aspect of life is relative. To one person walking is a chore; however, to another it is a miracle. True perspective is to share our lives, thus, no one has the right to minimize your feelings or to dictate how you should feel. Accordingly, this is how I advocate throughout my life, and emphasize in my sessions, especially for children.
Genuineness and sincerity is crucial for any relationship to grow not just between a therapist and client, but with each other. Thus, my goal is to lend an empathetic ear to those whose voices have gone unheard, and feelings neglected. My promise is to care.
