My Approach to Helping
Thank you for taking the time to embark on this journey of improvement and better mental health. Taking the first step can be difficult and takes courage, but it can be invaluable. Whether you are addressing everyday problems, life transitions, family and parenting issues, depression, anxiety, or trauma, this step to improve your mental health can help to improve your life as a whole. You should be able to take this step and the ones that follow without judgment or fear. You can use the strengths you have to overcome challenges and learn new ways to better your life. Personally, I believe you are the expert on yourself and your story, while I am here to guide and help you through the difficult parts. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), I work with you on making small changes that lead to bigger changes to help improve your mental health and life. Additionally, I have specialized training in juvenile forensic counseling, A-CRA, CRA, CRAFT, TF-CBT, juvenile competency, and adoption competency. Focusing on children, adolescents, families, and young adults has been an important aspect of my practice and an area I have concentrated on for the past 7 years. I welcome you to contact me through messaging or by phone to discuss further and schedule our first session. Thank you for being willing to allow me to take this journey with you in your life.
