My Approach to Helping

Welcome! I am here to offer you help through life’s most difficult times and transitions. While I can help clients with a variety of issues, one of my areas of specialty is the treatment of depression and anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum period. If you are struggling during a difficult life transition such as pregnancy or new parenthood, I can help.

One of my other areas of expertise is the treatment of PTSD and other trauma-related conditions due to a variety of adverse, traumatic life experiences. My practice includes working with trauma related to military service, childhood abuse, birth trauma, and other experiences.

I am grounded in a psychodynamic approach, which means that I help clients identify and resolve unfinished business from their past and work to reduce its hold on them. I also use a broad range of methods to tailor therapy to the goals and needs of each individual. My experience includes training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a highly effective, well-researched trauma treatment. I will work collaboratively with you to meet your treatment goals.

I completed Postpartum Support International's 2 Day Certificate of Completion Program as well as PSI's Perinatal Mental Health Advanced Psychotherapy Training Course. Additionally, as a mother of two young boys, I can personally relate to the uniquely challenges of this demographic and phase of life.

Many people find it hard to begin psychotherapy. While it can be overwhelming for many reasons, I can make the process a little easier for you. Please message me directly through GoodTherapy to schedule a free phone consultation.
