My Approach to Helping
She is a licensed professional counselor and has provided counseling and life coaching services to individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children for more than 28 years. She graduated from James Madison University with an Ed.S. in counseling psychology and obtained a certification from the Washington School of Psychiatry in Infant and Young Child Mental Health. She focuses on holistic mental and emotional wellness, with an emphasis on the benefits of meditation, exercise, and cognitive behavioral strategies for the treatment of stress, anxiety, and depression. She joined Preferred EAP (Employee Assistance Program) at the Lehigh Valley Health Network in 2002 as a counselor and trainer and developed and conducted numerous seminars on topics such as stress management, effective communication, empathic leadership, and coping with change. She also introduced 'Feedback-Informed Treatment,' an innovative clinical approach for evaluating and improving counseling quality, and developed multiple programs to address the unique mental health needs of healthcare professionals.
