My Approach to Helping
My approach is informed by depth and somatic psychology, attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, transpersonal psychology, and internal family systems (IFS). Combined with over a decade of healing work and recovery, I integrate these modalities to guide clients in addressing the root of their symptoms and transforming challenges into opportunities for growth. I offer a compassionate, genuine, nonjudgemental, trauma-informed space to work with client concerns. My work is committed to fostering resiliency and empowering individuals to find peace and meaning in their lives.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Grief can feel like the rug has been pulled out from under you. Whether you?ve lost a loved one, job or significant relationship, grief can be a destabilizing and overwhelming time. Anxiety, depression, isolation, and hopelessness are all common experiences after loss. Unfortunately, life does not pause when we are grieving, and we are still expected to keep up with the demands of life while carrying the weight of deep emotional pain. Sometimes, those closest to us can?t provide the support we are looking for. Therapy can be a place to process the painful emotions we otherwise are expected to carry inside.
My role is to help you find ground again, to hold a non-judgmental space for your grief, while offering guidance on how to navigate the emotional, mental, and spiritual complexities it brings. My own experience with significant loss has allowed me to guide others through the process in an authentic and genuine way. I am also a trained hospice volunteer.
