My Approach to Helping

I offer a compassionate space for all clients, specializing in client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused approaches, narrative therapy, and faith-based practices. I integrate evidence-based techniques with a holistic perspective, recognizing the unique needs of each client. For those who find strength in their faith, I encourage incorporating it into the therapeutic journey, offering a meaningful path toward healing and wellness. I firmly believe that emotional pain does not discriminate by age. I do incorporate the power of prayer into sessions if requested. I also offer services in Spanish.
With previous experience of working with teens, adults, and families in crisis, I am dedicated to empowering my clients to better understand their emotions, build practical coping skills, and navigate life's challenges. I am deeply passionate about serving the Hispanic community, including immigrants and refugees. I bring a multicultural lens to my work, understanding the cultural implications that shape identity, family dynamics, and personal experiences. My goal is to create a space where clients feel their cultural background is honored and valued while navigating challenges such as intergenerational conflict.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I believe the purpose of psychotherapy is to provide a safe, supportive space where individuals can heal, grow, and gain deeper self-understanding. Therapy is not just about addressing struggles, it's about empowering clients to navigate life's challenges with resilience, self-compassion, and faith. I integrate creative approaches like play therapy, art therapy, and sand tray therapy to help children and teens express themselves in ways that words sometimes cannot. For those seeking faith-based counseling, I incorporate Christian principles to foster emotional and spiritual well-being. My goal is to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing, helping them discover their strengths and live with greater peace and purpose.
