My Approach to Helping
If you were less triggered, more empathic and patient, working toward goals, embracing meaningful and rich relationships, or living life to the fullest, how would your life look? Tending to the unhealthy parts of yourself can help you heal the past and take you into a happier life. I help people achieve this goal by offering guidance and insight, often in less time than you might expect. I help clients locate the wisdom that lies within themselves. We explore past wounds, work on painful current issues, and work toward more fulfilling and joyous lives. Within the confines of a judgment-free environment, I journey with my clients on their paths toward their best selves.
My clients frequently report that they're comfortable with me. I work with a variety of issues, including childhood trauma and loss, grief, pregnancy, parenting, and communication between couples. I'm proactive, relying on a combination of proven approaches.
My work is about helping clients find meaning in their lives and peace in their relationships. I'm honored to witness my lives transform their lives and gain happiness. I've passionated worked with couples, children, adults, families, and teens on a variety of issues for 25 years.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Sometimes people ask me if listening to people speak about their challenges every day is depressing. I always say that it's actually the opposite! Seeing my clients make positive, desirable changes in their lives is exciting, beautiful, and fulfilling. I get excited when clients use therapeutic tools to make their lives calmer, happier, or more satisfying. Hearing that my clients are less reactive and triggered, witnessing their confidence, and seeing their happiness is a wonderful sight to see. I'm honored to be a part of these changes.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
The most important consideration for choosing a therapist is whether you feel completely understood and comfortable. When a client meets with me, he or she knows they are truly heard. I listen not just to the spoken words, but also the underlying message. I reflect this back to you to give you more clarity and guidance into your challenges. The therapist-client alliance is highly valuable, and the trust you feel can enable you to talk about things you'd never discuss elsewhere. If we feel the fit isn't right, I can refer you to another therapist.
