My Approach to Helping
Are you someone who seems to have it together on the outside, but inside you often feel stressed and overwhelmed? Do you find that in some areas of life you are thriving, but emotionally and in your relationships you are struggling? I can help you move from just getting through each day, to truly experiencing a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and whole. My approach to healing is holistic, meaning that your individually designed map to healing and growth is addressed from a mind, body, and spiritual perspective. I work with people who have survived a difficult and traumatic childhood, but may need some assistance so the wounds from the past do not affect emotions and functioning in the present and future.
I work with individuals, as well a couples and families. I help people to improve the quality of their relationships. I teach people what healthy relationships look like, and help improve communication and connection in couples and families. Sometimes you are the only one who is willing to attend counseling to address problems in the relationship. If so, I encourage you to work on your growth individually, as once person moving towards being a healthy can create positive change in a couple or family. I also provide support to people as they heal from transition in relationships, such as divorce or experiencing your first healthy relationship.
