My Approach to Helping
Chantal is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Substance Abuse Counselor. She has provided individual and group therapy for many years and has experience working alongside people to facilitate positive change in their lives and communities.
Using various evidence-based techniques, Chantal will help you reconnect to existing strengths and cultivate additional resources that support progress toward the changes you wish to make. She has experience utilizing the person-centered, CBT, and relational-cultural theories approach and frequently uses mindfulness, body-centered, and creative interventions. Chantal considers cultural humility essential to therapeutic practice. Chantal wants you to feel safe, seen, and heard; she understands and values the importance of the therapeutic relationship.
Chantal’s current practice focuses on supporting adults and teens navigating grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, Biopolar, anticipatory loss, substance abuse, life transitions, and relationships.
Chantal’s style of therapy is informal, compassionate, and responsive to each person’s unique needs. She will guide you to explore your concerns and build a greater understanding of the different aspects of your experience, from the emotional, mental, and physical to the family, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions.
